Algarve eleito melhor destino Europeu de golfe

O Algarve arrecadou o prémio de destino com os melhores campos de golfe da Europa no evento Golf Magazin Awards 2008. “Qualidade, variedade, envolvência natural dos campos e o clima”, foram alguns dos factores que levaram os leitores da Golf Magazin online a eleger o Algarve como o melhor destino europeu de golfe, ultrapassando Maiorca e a Costa Oeste da Irlanda.

O galardão foi entregue ao vice-presidente da ATA, Christopher Stilwell na cerimónia da Golf Magazin Awards 2008, que teve lugar no Kölner Rheinterassen, em Colónia: “estamos muito orgulhosos por esta distinção, principalmente por ter decorrido de uma votação feita pelo público.

Com este prémio o Algarve consolida a sua posição enquanto Destino de Golfe e ficamos muito satisfeitos pelas características técnicas e naturais dos nossos campos satisfazerem as necessidades dos golfistas”, comentou Christopher Stilwell.Recorde-se que em 2007 o Algarve foi distinguido com o prémio “Melhor Destino de Golfe do Mundo”, pela publicação alemã - Rheingolf Magazine.
